Lunch Ride: Hogs N Heat - Rock Springs Cafe
Â

3/6/2009 - Rock Springs Cafe
Took a ride out to Rock Springs Cafe today for the monthly Hogs N Heat! What a great place, The place was packed, the band was rockin, and the food kicked ass! Hogs N Heat is on the 1st saturday of every month, the cost was $12.00 per person for all you can eat, BBQ Pulled Pork, Pulled Beef, BBQ Chicken, Cole Slaw, Beans, and "Bradshaw Mountian Oysters" (Bulls Balls!) Make sure if your going to go you load up your plate or get two the first round, because the line was probably 50-60 people deep, from the time they opened at noon until 9pm when they close the grills down. They have 3 "beer" huts open and the lines were not to bad, although they ran out of pitchers the drink prices were very reasonable for beer, mixed drinks, and Soda.
The staff was very friendly and accomidating, I even got a chance to talk to the owner. He informed me that the stables next door just opened up and that they should be having horse rides and wagon rides available at the next event. They also had the old time photos, face painting, and western actors out and about raising money for people affected by the recent heavy Arizona rains.
Rock Springs is famous for their pies, which by the way... I think they are WORTH being famous for!
All in all Rock Spiring Cafe was a great place to hang out with friends, eat, relax, and smoke a good cigar!
*Hogs 'N Heat will be year-round January thru December on the first Saturday of each month, generally from 1pm-11pm on the Rock Springs Garden Patio.
